The Small Business Administration states that "Starting and managing a business takes motivation, desire and talent. It also takes research and planning." I agree wholeheartedly. I would add that it also takes courage and self confidence.
Many small business owners feel that no-one works as hard for them as they do. This is normally true. Small business owners tend to put in 60 hours and more a week getting their business off the ground. Unfortunately, many try to wear too many hats. A great computer consultant, is not always a great Attorney or Accountant. Spending time trying to learn something new, while neglecting your own talent can cost you your business.

Most small businesses engage a CPA for compilation services. I compile, from information provided by my clients, the balance sheet and related statements of earnings and retained earnings and cash flows, in accordance with standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
My average fee for this service is $200 a month. The minimum is $150 a month. The fee depends on the size of your firm: number of employees, benefit plans, number of checks written, sales and account receivable details and number of bank accounts. The fee includes the following services: preparation of quarterly Federal and State tax estimates, quarterly payroll tax returns, personal property listings, review personal property assessments, and license preparation.

Of course, there is no obligations for either of us. Once the particulars of your firms needs are known, I could then quote you a firm price.
